It is evident that disasters are increasing in frequency and intensity, and their impact and cost are also on the rise. Apart from human losses, the other largest victims are businesses and organizations due to their exuberant financial costs. We can’t stop disasters from happening. However, the research shows that these costs can be reduced substantially by advanced preparation and mitigation strategies.
